General Summary of Duties:

The Payroll Advisor is responsible for the semi-monthly payment of salaried and hourly employees, administering payroll policies and procedures and maintaining all payroll and taxable benefit records in accordance with all internal and external legislative requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead and participate in safety meeting as well as work in a safe manner.
• Process regular payroll for all salaried, hourly and casual employees by required deadlines.
• Assist and review in administration of employee flexible benefit administration reporting and third party billing.
• Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and other appropriate deductions.
• Prepare annual employee T4s and distribute in a timely manner.
• Review, update and submit payroll related forms and reports (workforce, absenteeism, etc.).
• Communicate with payroll client services to resolves issues as necessary.
• Reconcile payroll totals and ensure all deductions and health benefit plan payments are processed as scheduled. Complete accurate taxable benefit reconciliations.
• Respond to employee and audit enquiries and requests as required.
• Assist in the on-boarding and termination processes; prepare and distribute employee records of employment.
• Produce month end payroll and benefit related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain positive working relationships and effective information exchange with employees at all levels, in all departments, internal and external auditors and government agencies.
• Demonstrate an awareness of costs and perform activities in a cost effective manner.
• Ensure activities abide by the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Participate in department goals setting program and achieves goals.
• Facilitate WCB, company Register Retirement Plan (RRP), and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) enrolment and reporting, as well as CRA and Service Canada reporting, reconciliations, and inquires.
• Respond to government claims, verifications, statistical reporting and audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be task and detail oriented, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Strong computer skills and proficient with MS Office software.
• Ability to interpret, summarize and communicate complex reports, analysis and information.
• Customer service oriented.
• Approachable, with above average listening, verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to maintain information confidentiality.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and keep on schedule.
• Must possess a proven safety and attendance record.

Education and/or Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a payroll supervisory position, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Post-secondary education and/or Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification considered an asset.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll systems, internal controls, and management.
• Previous experience with “DCPP” benefit and group flexible comprehensive benefit plans an asset.

Job Title: Senior Metallurgist
Department: Milling
Reports To: Chief Metallurgist

General Summary of Duties:

The Senior Metallurgist will work collaboratively with the mill operations team to provide technical expertise, guidance, support and leadership in process improvement and metallurgical testing. Provision of effective support for mill operations to ensure that metallurgical performance is optimized and that final molybdic oxide products meet customer expectations for quality, packaging and delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Endako’s ISO quality certification is effectively retained.
• Participation in mill cost control through preparation of mill operating budgets, and preparation of cost variance and analysis reports.
• Directing the metallurgical staff in projects undertaken to improve plant and cost performance.
• Ensuring that reports for metallurgical accounting, mill and roaster operations are prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
• Overseeing assay laboratory operations.
• Ensuring that metallurgical staff will continue to develop professional skills and competence in performing at increasing levels of responsibility.
• Working with mill operations to ensure the technical capabilities of operators and technicians are continuously developed.
• Participating along with members of the mill management group in identifying opportunities for improvement in all facets of the mill and roasting operations, including safety, environment, personnel development, production
and cost.

Qualifications:

• Must be task and detail oriented, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must be knowledgeable of related computer programs and systems. Previous experience with simulation software such as GoldSim or JKSimMet would be an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Ability to research and analyze complex information and present conclusions in an effective manner.
• Demonstrated competency working in an environmentally and safety conscience work environment with an awareness of occupational hazards.
• Previous experience in Molybdenum processing, base metals flotation or tailings management would be an asset.
• Previous experience with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems would be an asset.

Education and/or Experience:

• Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of five years of related operational experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience desirable.

Endako Mines, A Joint Venture of Thompson Creek Mining Ltd. and Sojitz Moly Resources, Inc is currently recruiting a full-time Logistics & Distribution III (Certified Industrial Warehouse Person).

Endako Mines is a 52,000 tonne per day, open pit molybdenum mine, mill and roaster. Our operation is located 25 km from the Village of Fraser Lake, allowing our employees to commute daily to the mine site from home.

General Summary of Duties:
The Senior Human Resources Advisor will work collaboratively with the management team to provide expertise and support in the following areas of human resources administration: employer/employee relations, labour relations, benefits administration, compensation administration, recruitment and selection, teambuilding, training and development, performance management, HR strategy, HRIS, legislative compliance, employment law, and retention and maintenance of employment records, teambuilding, employee communications and community relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures, departmental goals, objectives and systems that directly impact HR strategy and the Company’s overall business plan.

Develop, recommend and implement appropriate HR strategies that meet supervisory training and business objectives of the company.

Prepare performance management tracking and salary administration reports for management. Notify managers/supervisors in a timely manner when performance reviews for direct reports are due. Provide follow- up performance management tracking and salary administration reports for senior management as necessary.

Act as a designated Privacy Officer for the company. Maintain the confidentiality of all company and employee information at all times. Maintain employee records, reports, and logs to ensure conformance and compliance with provincial and federal employee record keeping and reporting legislation.

Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of employment files for new and terminated employees in accordance with company, provincial, and federal policy and employment law compliance requirements. Establish and maintain employee training records.

Provide insight and advise on employment/labour law ensuring compliance with those laws.

Administer the collective agreement and ensure consistent interpretation in the day-to-day business function. Prepare for and participate in the negotiation of future collective agreements as directed.

Oversee the disability management function. Liaison with third party providers in the management of short- term and long-term disability matters, as well as effective return-to-work programs.

Coordinate and conduct exit interviews and provide outplacement-counseling support in accordance with company policy.

Provide input and recommendations for the annual budgeting process.

Assume HR Superintendent delegate roles and responsibilities in his/her absence. May be assigned other duties.

Qualifications:

Must be task and detail oriented, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be knowledgeable of related computer programs and systems. Ability to facilitate training sessions; develop procedures and methods; interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations; organize, evaluate and present information effectively, both verbally and in writing and to maintain favorable public relations. Familiarity with human resources functions and systems utilized in a heavy industrial environment is highly desirable.

Education and/or Experience:

Degree in Business Administration and Professional Designation in Human Resources with a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a heavy industrial environment. Previous supervisory experience desirable.
