Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Inter-Provincial Red Seal Pipefitter will be responsible for various maintenance activities common to a surface hard rock mining and milling operation and the associated crushing, grinding, flotation, conveyor systems and support equipment.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for piping systems. Selects type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications
  • Plans installation or repair to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of other workers.
  • May weld pipe and supports to structural steel members
  • Actively participate in various safety activities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections
  • Repair equipment in the field or shop assist Millwrights as needed
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Clearly write reports detailing work performed and problems found

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a Interprovincial Pipefitter certification
  • Three plus years’ experience preferred
  • Proven safety and attendance record
  • Must have own tools
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products ie. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds is required
  • Willingness to work in adverse conditions
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision

WORK SCHEDULE
The schedule will be rotating days and nights, 7 days on with 7 rest, 12-hour shifts

SECURITY GUARD
The Site Security Guard will provide Security, Inspection, Control and Monitoring Services to adequately and properly secure the Mount Milligan Property, Camp, Access and Mine Site. The incumbent in this position will be required to work with the Staff and Contractor personnel to develop a positive and harmonious atmosphere. The Site Security Guard will report to the Security Supervisor.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Enforce company rules including the camp rules;
  • Provide assistance with enforcing Site Drug and Alcohol Policy, Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, and Site Rules and Regulations;
  • Protect company property against theft and/or damage;
  • Check all delivery vehicles in order to verify legitimate deliveries;
  • Monitor and control access to company facilities to ensure that only properly authorized personnel enter the premises;
  • Ensure that every vehicle entering the Owners sites meets the required Safety and Operating Requirements;
  • Utilize the Kanteck System to verify credentials and assist in correcting erroneous information;
  • Ensure all vehicles operate within posted speed limits;
  • Escort noncompliant personnel or vehicles off site, when required.
  • Assist in Drug and Alcohol Testing;
  • Maintain a record/log of the visitor names, company, date, and with whom they are visiting at designated sign-in locations;
  • Conduct Gatehouse Visitor Orientations;
  • Ensure that all equipment and material demobilized from the site has the necessary approvals and site clearance paper work;
  • Assist with site emergencies to mobilize the (Emergency Response Team) as required; and mobilize medical assistance or site Firefighting Services as required;
  • Patrol facilities as directed by the Security Superintendent;
  • Ensure that company facilities, equipment and materials are secure and take corrective action to address deficiencies;
  • Report any losses of tools, equipment, materials, or other breaches of security as soon as they are discovered;
  • Take accurate notes of field observations; and
  • Write detailed incidents reports.

Endako Mines, A Joint Venture of Thompson Creek Mining Ltd. and Sojitz Moly Resources Inc., is currently recruiting a 7 Journeyman Electrician.

 

Endako Mines is a 50,000 tonne per day, open pit molybdenum mine, mill and roaster. A new mill facility is complete and operational. Our operation is located 25 km from the Village of Fraser Lake, allowing our employees to commute daily to the mine site from home. Fraser Lake, with an area population of approximately 2000, is situated on the shores of Fraser Lake, near the geographic centre of British Columbia. There are a variety of year-round recreational activities including skiing, golfing, boating, hiking, and many other activities for the outdoor enthusiast. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· BC or Inter-provincial certification.

· AutoCAD experience.

· Experience with PLC and HMI control systems.

· The ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits.

· Mining or Industrial process experience.

· PLC background with Modicon and GE Fanuc.

· Instrumentation knowledge.
